Our service options range from consultation and design to landscape construction and garden maintenance - creating stunning gardens from start to finish.
Initial Consultation
During the initial consultation we define the specific direction of the project and determine whether a design is actually required. Budget and practical needs are thoroughly discussed at this stage to avoid planning a design which does not meet financial and personal requirements.
We examine how the design needs to relate to the style of your home, the interior and exterior spaces and the characteristics of the site and surroundings. Attention will be paid to overall style and materials used and the possible location of major features such as retaining walls, lawn areas and water features.
Consultations are charged at an hourly rate. This fee is refundable on any construction work undertaken by Ian Barker & Associates.
Landscape Concept Plan
The concept plan presents a graphic summary for the structural elements of the landscape. It presents in scale all the components, identified at the initial consultation, into a design that forms the relationships to the building and the site.
Master Plan
The second stage of developing your new garden involves getting a landscape master plan drawn, giving you a better perspective of the design and enabling accurate pricing for the construction of the garden. The plan is used during construction and may also be required for Council submission.
